A little bit about myself, I have been with Jacks since April of 2012. I started as a picker in the warehouse, moved to customer service, and then to the local store where I reside now! Growing up my dad was always tinkering with small engines, which is where I got some of my knowledge. Others came from the time spent through my years here. I have gained a lot of mechanical knowledge from working with the great people here at Jacks. I always try to have an upbeat attitude, and a kind positive mindset. I have built great customer relationships with our local guys that do this for a living, as well as County and Government contracts. I strive to give our customers the best experience possible!
Hi , I’m Luke Baker, the Service Manager for Jacks Small Engines. I have been with Jacks for a little over 2 years. I grew up using equipment since I was old enough to reach the pedals. I have worked with almost every lawn and garden brand in the industry. I have held various positions in the industry from commercial landscaping, parts counter, sales, and service writer. I will always give my best to help a customer.
The Jacks Small Engines story truly began back in the 1980’s when Jack Cumberland moved to a quieter Harford County, Maryland. The full-time IBM employee came to be known in the area as the “go-to” guy for generator repairs. His small, word of mouth business soon grew and by 1990 the first Jacks Small Engine brick and mortar store was born. The first retail location was a mobile trailer on a lot in Jarrettsville, which has undergone numerous changes in the last almost twenty years.
Offering the most dependable service and representing top outdoor power equipment brands on site.
